simple text being what? Also do you know you can right click and paste as plain text in pidgin proper?

Yes, but that requires me to use the mouse and it casts havoc in macromaker to do that in a macro.

I've thought of using Firefox's extension 'copy plain text', but this one casts havoc in another macro because it copies text to clipboard as plain text in response to every CTRL+C that the user makes and a person can't for example chose to do that only for certain ocasions (ie, one can't set for instance CTRL+Z to act as 'copy as plain text').

Thanks.

So you want to break formatted pasting in pidgin then? I think the optimal solution is to enter an RFE for pidgin to make something like ctrl-shift-v do a plain text paste.

I'm sorry for my ignorance, but what is an RFE?

Request for Future Enchancement, same thing you did here but on pidgin's trac.

I'm sorry for having done it. I did it because I got no feedback in a month.

But actually I don't know if I should suggest such a feature to be made to Pidgin or to Pidgin Plugins and that was the main reason. How should I know where I should make RFE?
